Innovations in the service of sustainable irrigation and soil health

GEORGIA (Groundwater and Soil Resources Management for Sustainable Agriculture in Europe) is a project financed through the Horizon Europe programme, aimed at improving the management of water resources and soil health in the context of climate change and sustainable agriculture.
The goal of the project is to develop smart, practical and scalable land and water management models, which will help producers and decision makers to respond more effectively to drought, land degradation and unpredictable climate conditions.
Terra Littera as a partner in the GEORGIA project implements:

Pilot activities in Serbia on an agricultural farm in Vojvodina region

Field testing of IoT technologies, sensors and precision irrigation systems

Cooperation with farmers and experts on local adaptation of innovations

Promotion of results and transfer of knowledge to domestic actors in the sector

By participating in the GEORGIA project, Terra contributes to the development and application of smart solutions to conserve resources and increase the resistance of production to climate challenges.
The project is an additional step in Terra Consulting’s mission to connect agriculture, science and innovation, with specific effects in the field.

Co-funded by the European Union
